How will Memory foam help me?

Because of it’s amazing properties Memory Foam mattresses can reduce back problems, relieve joint aches such as arthritis and help you to sleep longer by reducing your movement during sleep. These are just a few of the things that Memory Foam can help with.

Will I like Memory Foam?

The majority of people will like memory foam but if you are unsure why not give our 14 night trial a go.

Can I get a special size mattress?

Yes. Because here at BodyMould we make the mattresses ourselves we can cut them to almost any size along with a fitted washable cover. Please allow 14 days for special size mattresses.

Does Memory Foam smell?

Because foam is made from chemicals there is a smell when the mattresses are first made. This smell is not dangerous and disperses from the mattress as it is slept on. It is no different to buying a new pair of shoes and them having a ‘new’ smell to them.

Are your mattresses like Tempur^®?

Tempur^® use the same construction in their mattresses as we do which is a 3”/5” combination. Our Memory Foam is also of a very similar density and hardness to Tempur^®. You would find it difficult to tell the difference between the two, apart from the price of course.

Does your foam meet the UK fire regulations?

Yes all of our products comply with the UK furniture and fire regulations. Most of the cheaper mattresses you will find on the market will not meet these regulations, especially those imported from abroad.

Why am I seeing such a price variation?

Unfortunately nowadays there are lots of people importing Memory Foam from places such as China. This Memory Foam is very low quality and really doesn’t offer the same qualities as the better UK manufactured proucts. Whilst people think they are getting a bargain the foam will crumble and collapse very quickly. You may also see very expensive Mattresses, these are from companies that buy them from people like us and then have to put their mark up on them.

Do I need to turn the mattress?

No. The Memory Foam is the top layer and should always be face up otherwise you would not get the benefit of it. However it is recommended that you rotate the mattress occasionally. (To change the area which receives the most pressure).

Is Memory Foam Hot?

Because the foam has an open cell structure air can pass through it which helps to cool you down. However because of the way Memory Foam works more of your body is in contact with the mattress which may cause your body to heat up, but this is significantly reduced due to the lack of tossing and turning whilst asleep.

What bed bases are suitable?

You can use Memory Foam on any bed base.

Can I use and electric blanket?

Yes you can, but because of the heat the Memory Foam will feel softer. It may also cause the Memory Foam to break down slightly quicker but shouldn’t make too much difference to the lifespan.

Can I wash the mattress?

No! You can remove the cover and wash it at 30ºC but do not wash the mattress itself. If you spill something then simply soak up as much as you can then let it air dry.
